Random Composition

Courses / Bauhaus Coding Workshop / Random Composition

This exercise is about letting the computer do design decisions. By including random numbers, a large amount of variants can be created from a generative visual system.

Exercise: Create a dynamic/flexible visual system with 3 – 5 different geometric shapes. Use randomness to alter the shapes in size, position and direction. Generate 100 – 500 static variations and export them as PNG-files. Curate the generated images and select 6 – 9 favorites.
